Tuolumne County ranks below the state average in terms of the number of students who are immunized. The goal of Immunize Tuolumne is to increase the number of students who are immunized and increase community awareness about the benefits of being immunized.

National Immunization Month

August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). This annual observance provides an opportunity to highlight the value of immunization across the lifespan. A communication toolkit focusing on the four weekly NIAM themes: babies and pregnant women (August 3-9); children, preteens, and teens (August 10-16); young adults (August 17-23); and adults (August 24-30). The toolkit includes key messages, matte articles, social media messages, FAQs, and web links, among other resources. It also features NIAM logos and banners for each weekly theme to highlight participation in NIAM. For information, visit the CDC website.
